am I giving you china trip fomo? I sure hope so! 🤪 am I giving you china trip fomo? I sure hope so! 🤪

zhangjiajie is one of those places that feels almost impossible to believe is real… there are nearly 3000 pillars of towering sandstone peaks, mountains disappearing into the clouds, wild monkeys roaming the forests, and landscapes that truly look like they belong on another planet 🏔️

and while you may know it as the “avatar mountains,” there’s so much more to experience here than the views. from riding the bailong elevator up the side of a cliff to exploring the winding trails through wulingyuan, this is the kind of place that makes you stop and think, “how is this actually real?” 🌫️

if china has never been on your travel bucket list, consider this your sign to start looking a little closer 🔎

when you’re ready to turn that china travel daydream into reality, I’m here 🇨🇳 link in bio for my custom travel planning services
the japan day trip I would personally skip 🫣👀 🇯🇵❌ the japan day trip I would personally skip 🫣👀

🇯🇵❌ shirakawa-go is undeniably beautiful, but it’s one of the few places in japan that I don’t automatically recommend

for some travelers, it’s worth visiting. but for most of my clients who are hoping for authentic cultural immersion, there are plenty of other places that feel much more personal and memorable ❣️

every stop on your japan itinerary comes with an opportunity cost, so sometimes skipping the “top things to do in japan” where everyone else goes leaves room for hidden gems to really shine 🌟

💭 would you still visit shirakawago, or would you trade it for somewhere quieter?

🤔 why are more and more travelers turning to human 🤔 why are more and more travelers turning to human travel advisors, in an age when you can throw together an itinerary online?

as a travel advisor myself, I’ll be the first to admit… hiring one is not a NEED. you have everything you need to book a trip at the tip of your fingers 🌍 that’s why travelers are recognizing the value in trading booking online themselves for real outcomes… and someone in your corner when things go wrong.

you’re not hiring someone just to book your trip. you’re hiring them for their expertise and support 💫

booking online gives you options (in fact, wayyy too many). working with an advisor gives you a plan 💪

so if you don’t want to leave your trip to chance, comment “TRIP” or enquire at the link in my bio today 🔗

how do you count how many times you’ve been to a c how do you count how many times you’ve been to a country that you lived in? 🤔

as a former south korea local (seoul was my home for 3 years) who now plans south korea itineraries on the daily, I always get asked how many times I’ve been to south korea. but how do you even quantify that number when you lived somewhere for so long, constantly leaving and re-entering the country to travel to other places?

if we counted it as how many times I’ve entered korea, going through immigration and customs, that number would be…

10 times, totaling over 39 MONTHS spent there 😱

and I will simply never get sick of it! once you live abroad, you leave part of your heart in that country and visiting again feels like returning to your second home ❣️

that might be a wrap on my 2 months back in seoul for 2026, but I’ll see you again soon, korea 🇰🇷
